The team of practical activities from the Department of Automation at Tsinghua University visited Westlake Genetech for research recently.

Dr. Lijia Ma, the founder of the company, introduced the company's basic situation to the visiting students and popularized the knowledge of gene therapy, explaining how gene and cell therapy accelerated through AI. Dr. Chen, the AI director, introduced the development history of artificial intelligence and the main application directions of AI technology in biomedicine.

During the interactive communication session, the students actively asked questions and had in-depth discussions with the company's founder on topics such as the combination of genomic analysis and deep learning, the difficulties of landing in the AI field for the company, and future career planning of automation majors. They expressed that through this research activity, they gained a deeper understanding of the application of AI technology in biomedicine and gained a lot.
